I am finally getting excited about my trip. It has been so long in the planning that I really never thought it would come. But in 5 1/2 weeks I ill be leaving on a jet plane to Africa...
So much to do till then, but the count down has begun. :)
I love traveling all over the countryside and beyond... So it's been a while since I have written on my blog, obviously been a while since I've been on a trip. Off to South America this year. I'll try and keep you informed.

In May 2009 I am off on another big adveture. With a stop over in Hong Kong I am off to Beijing to begin a journey along the Silk Route. This will take me by train and any other possible means of transport to Kashgar in China's west and on to Kyrgystan and Uzbekestan before heading to St Petersburg and anothe monster train journey along the Trans-Mongolian Railway across Russia, Mongolia and back to Beijing. 7 Weeks on a train, lets see how that goes...
Cambodia House Build
5 days in Phom Penh building houses with habitat for humanity followed by a couple of days sight seeing before heading by boat to Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor Wat for 4 days.
African Adventure
7 Weeks in Africa, begining in Nairobi.
14 days traveling to Uganda to see the Mountain Gorillas (Red Line)
4 days in the Amboseli National Park at the foothils of Kilimanjaro. (Green Line)
3 Weeks traveling southern Africa - Johannesburg to Cape Town. (Blue Line)

This stupid computer wont let me sign in, but I am officially on my way today. Flying out at 15:50 to Johannesburg via Singapore, then on to Nairobi, I should be there around 11:00pm Melbourne time on Friday, so that will be fun, hopefully I can write a bit more along the way.
